Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. The host of The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
